Mixed Media Collage

Old wallpapers and vintage scientific illustrations take on new life in my mixed media collages. Through observations and explorations of archetypal images and working plein air, I create artwork that makes people wonder and draws them in for a closer look. I repurpose wallpaper by tearing up the paper, often isolating the images, and reconfiguring the pieces into a new whole. My collages convey a contemporary perspective while referencing nature, history, science, and art.
